Privacy

This site collects very little, and this page says exactly what, in plain English. The data controller is Fluxify Ltd, the company behind this site, trading as Gavin Cooper. Company number 11306077, registered office Apartment 27, New Retort House, Lime Kiln Road, Bristol BS1 5DZ. Contact for anything on this page: [email protected].

The contact form

If you use the form on the contact page, I keep what you type: your name, your email address, your website address if you give one, and your message. The form also records the time, the page you sent it from, the page you came from, your country and your internet address, so I can tell a real enquiry from a script and see where enquiries come from.

The message is emailed to me and a copy is stored in a database on Cloudflare, which is also where this site is hosted. I use it to reply to you and, if we work together, to keep a record of how the conversation started. I don’t add you to a mailing list, because there isn’t one, and I don’t pass your details to anyone else.

I keep enquiries for two years, unless we end up working together, in which case they become part of the client record and are kept for six years after the work ends, which is the period accountants and HMRC expect. If you’d like yours deleted sooner, email me and I’ll do it.

The legal basis for this is legitimate interests, which means you asked me something and I need your details to answer.

Email and phone

If you email me or call me instead, the same applies. Email is Google Workspace, and your message sits in my mailbox for as long as I need it to reply and keep a record.

Analytics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views, the pages people arrive from, the country they’re in and the kind of device they’re using. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t fingerprint your browser and doesn’t follow you to other sites. I can’t identify you from it and I don’t try to. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no social media tracking on this site.

Cookies

None. The site sets no cookies, and there’s no banner because there’s nothing to ask you about.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived logs of requests, including internet addresses, in order to run the service and stop attacks. Cloudflare’s own privacy policy covers that, and I don’t use those logs for anything.

Your rights

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it or delete it, or object to my keeping it, by emailing [email protected]. I’ll reply within a couple of days, and act within a month. If you’re not happy with how I’ve handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

If any of this changes, this page changes with it, and the date below moves. Last changed 9 September 2026.
